About
Professional pet grooming since 1990, in Alexandria VA.
Judy Carter started her grooming career at 15 years old and was a natural. She loved the pets and they loved her. As she became more experienced and talented she successfully became a certified master groomer by the National Groomers Association of America.
Her salon opened in 1990 and has been very successful since day one. She has kept her clientele happy and loyal for many years and many to come. Her staff of friendly and professional groomers and bathers is always safety consciences and always put your satisfaction first. They strive for excellence by attending pet grooming seminars and training to become certified master groomers.
John Taylor Started grooming in 2002, soon after he started we found out he was a cat whisperer; he is able to tame the wildest ones that come in. Currently he is certified in Sporting Breeds and is working on others. He also has been in workshop training for dog behavior. His main goal is to get his master certification and the best thing to him is when he is driving around and he will see dogs he groomed and he can proudly say that he is the one that groomed that dog and made it beautiful. Out of all our employees John has the biggest heart, he has a dog that was abandoned at the shop when it was a puppy and he has loved it since the first day he brought it home.
Amy O'Dell Started working for us in 2003, she is certified in sporting breeds and is working on getting her certifications for all other breeds. She loves animals and swears she has too many but can never stop bringing them home.
Alicia Carter, daughter of Judy Carter, has grown up at Pretty Pets. She started grooming in the summer of 2005, like John she loves her car and her dogs. She hopes to one day be a certified master groomer and hopefully be the next generation of Pretty Pets. Alicia is currently in college to get her degree in Graphic Design, and she is the one that put Pretty Pets online.
