Sandra Lanton - I was born in FT. Huachuca Arizona. I have lived in Virginia since a small child.Animals have been my life since I was young. As a child I was always bringing them home to fix them up and find homes for them. I tamed many wild kittens and have saved dogs from such things as distemper. I'm now continuing that work by forming an animal rescue with my daughter and sister. We strive to save as many lives as possible through adoptions. Our animals come from NC. A rural shelter with few people and little money. We take them in and vet them, heal them and then work tirelessly finding the right home for them. I am the mother of 4 children and 4 grandchildren and am the proud owner of a chihuahua,rat terrier,German shepherd,cats, and birds. Tami Taylor - Tami is my daughter. Born at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge,VA. She has taken an extreme interest in animals since a young age. She has accomplished things such as: working alongside a vet to treat animals, observing surgical procedures, and assisting the vet with necropsies to determine why an animal passed away.. She has experience with administering shots and sub cuteaneous fluids. Tami is the back bone of the rescue. Meeting people,giving shots,transporting, keeping paperwork UTD,transporting to the clinic, calling people to set up shots,spaying/neutering etc. She has many animals of her own and is not afraid to take on any task big or small. Tami is the proud owner of a feist ,several cats, and birds. Tami's plans include going to school to first become a vet tech and then a vet and finally an exotic specialist DJ Ilyass - Deborah, my sister, is instrimental in helping with the care of the animals. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and living the majority of her life in Virginia. DJ's favorite past time is playing and caring for the puppies. She also assists in transporting the animals from NC to here and helps administer the meds they need and giving them all the attention they deserve to help make the transition a little less frightening. Her pets include, two cats,two dogs and birds.
